The Legend of Tex & Shirley's

Tex & Shirley Moore opened Tex & Shirley's Family Restaurant at Friendly Center in January of 1972.  Seventeen years later, they sold the restaurant to long time manager and friend, Bart Ortiz, and then they retired to their home state of Texas.  In late 2005, after sixteen successful years in business, Bart decided to branch out to High Point and open another Tex & Shirley's.  Now Greensboro's long time premiere breakfast establishment is serving a greater part of the Triad.  So, whether you visit the original Tex & Shirleys at Friendly Center or our newest location in High Point, we welcome you to our restaurant where everyone becomes a part of our family.
